Our 3M Mentoring Approach creates uplifting communication around the topic of adjusting back to life in America, after service time. This program is effective even after a decade of being departed from the military. The 3M approach holds these overall goals:

• Developing a crisis plan to better understand stress reaction for open lines of communication is the first goal of the Heroes Approach.
• Identifying the Family Unit and Securing Relationships held within.
• Educating about sustainable living through financial recovery, food sources and economic management for basic needs of the household: shelter, food, clothing, school and sports supplies, etc.
• Building skills in parent-child communication styles to build trust and connection.
• Developing overall interpersonal skills for open communications about needs and hopes, building better self awareness and identity post-service.
• Finding Purpose for the veteran, spouse and family for the days and years ahead as you build a life together.

• Heroes does support veterans in crisis with peer mentoring in Washington. You can connect for preventative peer mentoring before a crisis, for ER or in-patient visits or aftercare, or on-going connection and accountability. Heroes Family is here for you!
• Our Crisis Plan preparation is encouraged for all military families departing from service in any season. Spouses, as well as veterans, encouraged to develop a crisis plan with our Heroes team. You could have departed over 10 years ago, and this Crisis Plan will help open lines of communication and could de-escalate any reoccurring struggle. Let's connect!
